Esculin Supplement (0.5G/Vl)
Rehydrate the content of one vial in 2 ml distilled water. Mix well and add it to 500 ml of sterile, molten, cooled (45-50°C) TM 1579 - BILE ESCULIN AGAR BASE. Mix well and sterilize the medium by autoclaving at 15 psi pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Mix well and pour into sterile petri plates.
