BLOOD AGAR BASE No 2 (as per ISO)
-Dissolve 21.25 grams in 500ml distilled water.
-Gently heat to boiling with swirling to dissolve the medium completely.
-Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 psi (121oC) for 15 minutes.
-Cool the medium to 40 – 50°C.
-Aseptically add 5% v/v sterile defibrited blood and pour into sterile Petri plates.
